Brick House was Edward Bawden's home and Brick House Design is where to find a celebration and application of his art and design

Edward Bawden (1903-89) was a master printmaker, illustrator, watercolourist and designer and is today recognised as one of the most influential artists of his generation. Whilst he is perhaps best-known for his commercial work for companies such as Twinings and Fortnum & Mason, and his linocuts depicting everyday England, a significant body of work remains relatively unknown. Amongst these are collections of wallpapers, and fabric prints alongside book illustrations  and ceramics.

Bawden was a hugely versatile artist, who effortlessly pushed the boundaries between fine and commercial art. Brick House Design’s aim is to celebrate that legacy and
with the direct involvement of Tom Russell, Edward Bawden’s grandson we plan to develop collections of home interiors product that sensitively and respectfully
untilise work from the full breadth of Bawden’s output.
